An account such as this has its limitations: it's only as good as its sources and a new one might change the picture considerably. Where several actions took place in the same general area during a day, information about the timing of individual events is especially important but is sometimes lacking or contradictory. I've tried to cover every engagement I found where Fw 190s were reported although in combat aircraft recognition was often unreliable — experience suggests that machines in different paint schemes could easily be "recognised" as different types. Victory claims on both sides are notoriously optimistic and often for the wrong type of aircraft.
