8 January 1945

I./SG 5 becomes Stab, 9., 10. & 11./KG 200
13./KG 200 incorporated into III./KG 200

NOTES:

The successive organisational structures are translated from a document held at the Bundesarchiv–Militärarchiv, Freiburg: RL 2-III/1822, »Kampgeschwader 200.- Gliederungen, Febr. und Nov. 1944«. Unlike the file to which it was originally attached (RL 2-III/64) this has not yet been digitised.

The unit symbols and the descending order of Gruppen and Staffeln are as per the original.

The changes of 8 January 1945 are from separate documents also at Freiburg.

BT = Bombentorpedo

FBK = Fliegerhorstbetriebskompanie (Aerodrome Servicing Company)

FK = Fernlenkkörper (guided weapons)

Kochgerät = glider-deployed explosive motor cataraman

LS = Lastensegler (cargo glider)

Reichenbachgerät = piloted V-1

Total = self-sacrifice (suicide) operations

"München-Wien" is as per the original and is probably an error for München-Riem.

"Wiener-N." is Wiener-Neustadt.

"Finnow" is as per the original and is an error for Finow.

An document of 29 February 1944 (BA-MA RL 2-III/58) states that the 4. Staffel of the II. Gruppe is not to be set up immediately but will be the subject of a separate order.

Despite what is said here, Einhorn never operated in an anti-shipping role.
