From an intercepted report (No. 806 IC) issued by Luftflotte 2's Operations Staff at 0830 hours GMT on 27 March 1944:

Mining of sea area of the landing bridgehead and diversionary attack on ground targets by KG 76 on night 26/27 March.

18 Ju 88 operated. 1 broke off early.

Losses:

1 Ju 88 (III./KG 76) overdue.

Result:

13 Ju 88 dropped 25 BM 1000 in sea area off the bridgehead. All bombs in target area ordered. 3 Ju 88 flare-dropping and diversionary attack against ground targets southeast of Nettuno, without results being observed.
