6./KG 77 appears to have been renamed 6.(Bel.)/KG 26 on or about 13 August. From that date on, the former disappears from intercepted signals and the latter appears in its place.

Some II./KG 26 strength reports give two sets of numbers, e.g. 11 (6) and 12 (8) on 13 August; 15 (11) and 10 (8) the next day. This may distinguish between bomber and torpedo aircraft or between those with and without FuG 200 search radar.
