NOTE: In his memoir, Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot (Grub Street, 2010), Wolfgang Fischer mentions Peter Ullmann and Otto Wania as fellow pilots in the 4. Staffel. He also identifies Siegfired Lemke, Clemens Walterscheid and Georg Schneider as as leaders of the 1., 3, and 4. Staffeln respectively. If his recollection is correct, given that the first two were only NCOs they would have been Staffelführer rather than Staffelkapitäne.
