From the outset, I've used this site to correct, update or expand on things of mine that have been published and now I'm doing the same with my pieces for Chandos Publications' Axis Wings compendia. Some of the extra material (e.g. long lists of sources) was intended from the outset to go online and there will be a note in the printed article to that effect.

Sonderstaffel Einhorn and III./KG 200: from Self-sacrifice to Surrender was published in Axis Wings Volume 1 (Chandos Publications, March 2024) ISBN 9781999316556 with Addenda in Volume 2 (Chandos Publications, October 2024) ISBN ISBN 9781999316570.

Panthers Taking Pictures, Me 262 Reconnaissance Operations, 1944–45 also appeared in Volume 2.

A Luftwaffe file note of 13 April 1945 gives an extensive list of unit relocations away from the area threatened by the American advance into the Magdeburg-Halle area. Among these is ‘1./NAGr. 6 from Faßberg to Hohn’.

The article mentioned that III./EJG 2 played a part in training Me 262 reconnaissance pilots and a subsequent thread on the 12 o'clock high forum led me to look into what happened to the Gruppe which apparently vanished without being formally disbanded. The results are here.

Further evidence of my inability to leave any of my supposedly completed projects alone.
