Note that the operations set out here are those I know about. There is evidence that I./JG 2 flew on other days and lost aircraft not detailed in this account. Perhaps if another logbook turns up...

During much of the Gruppe's deployment to Italy, there was bad weather and many Luftwaffe units were grounded for days at a time, especially when landing grounds became too soft to use. Dates with a grey background are those when Ob. Südwest reported that weather or softened airfields prevented or limited air operations. While I./JG 2 was based at Castiglione del Lago (until 13 March) however, it may have been able to fly when units at the front could not, and vice versa.
